Letter from the Founder
Adopt a block Campaign
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
As I reflect on 2025, one word continues to rise in my spirit: transformation.
This year began with promise and it ended with purpose fulfilled. What unfolded throughout 2025 was more than growth on paper; it was healing in real time, courage being rebuilt, and lives being restored one young person, one family, one step at a time.
When Rubies entered our new space at the YWCA, we weren’t just unlocking doors to a building we were unlocking access, opportunity, and expansion. That moment marked a turning point. New contracts were secured. New programs were launched. Our team grew stronger. And most importantly, our impact deepened.
This year, 40 young women completed the Rubies program, and I say this with profound gratitude and pride: these young ladies did not leave the same way they entered. They came in carrying brokenness, uncertainty, and survival stories. They left with clarity, confidence, and an understanding of their worth. They learned that their past does not define them and that their future is not limited by where they started.
One of the most meaningful moments of 2025 was our first Healing Retreat at Phantom Ranch. Watching our girls experience peace beyond the noise of everyday survival riding horses, sitting around a bonfire, laughing freely, breathing deeply was a reminder of why Rubies exists. Sometimes healing begins when the nervous system finally feels safe enough to rest.
We also celebrated powerful milestones:
Young women securing housing and employment while in school
Families reunified through intentional, loving support
A long-term participant successfully transitioning out of the program after three years
Alumni returning from college to give back proof that the seeds planted here continue to grow
These moments are not accidental. They are the result of your belief, your generosity, and your willingness to invest in restoration instead of giving up.
Because of you, Rubies was able to expand services to parents through Family Matters, launch G.E.M.S. for young men, strengthen clinical support, and provide hands-on life skills that prepare youth not just to survive but to thrive.
As we look ahead to 2026, we do so grounded, grateful, and ready. The foundation is set. The vision is clear. And the lives being changed remind us daily that this work matters.
Thank you for walking with us. Thank you for trusting the mission. And thank you for choosing to be part of stories that end in hope.
With deep appreciation and expectation,
April Bentley
